Zubia draws in Tacoma

Saturday night at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington: Jr. welters Aaron Schupp and Edgar Zubia, of Hobbs, N.M., fought to a majority draw. Zubia (now 1-0-1) seemed to have better footwork but his punches were wider, which allowed Schupp (2-2-2) to get inside. Gomez destroyed in one

WBC #2 jr middleweight contender Alfredo Angulo (20-1, 17 KOs) made quick work of Bloomfield’s Joseph Gomez (17-5-1, 8 KOs), blowing him out in the first round on Saturday night at the Nido Sport Center in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.
