Abie Han’s foe named
With the main event featuring WBC #17 ranked middleweight David Medina against tough San Antonio Texas Boxer/brawler Anthony Shuler, Zeferino Entertainment has just finalized the co-main event of what promises to be one of the most explosive fights of boxing of the year for west Texas.
Most notable to local El Paso fight fans will be undefeated Abraham Han (10-0, 9 KO’s), who is fighting in the co-main event against tough Hilario Lopez (12-10, 8 KO’s) in a six round fight. Han is the prohibitive favorite against Lopez, who was recently defeated by undefeated prospect Omar Henry in Texas earlier this year. However, many insiders recognize that Lopez is a competent and dangerous opponent.
“Lopez has already faced top fighters in boxing, Undefeated prospect Omar Henry earlier this year,” commented promoter Zef Ramirez, “and Han needs to recognize that if he takes Lopez lightly he could be in for a very difficult night.”
Hilario Lopez was considerably more outspoken about his chances against the highly touted Han.
“I know Han is El Paso’s undefeated ‘SON’,” commented Lopez with a fair amount of sarcasm, “but when September 24th comes it’s my time, I’m not only going to win I’m knocking this kid out!”
