“Battle at the Ballpark” updates
The official press conference for “Battle at the Ballpark” will take place at 4:00 PM on Friday, Sept. 2 at the Speaking Rock Casino and Entertainment Center Located at 122 S. Old Pueblo, El Paso, TX, 79907. This conference is open to the public.
Present will be Zeferino Entertainment and David Rodriguez to discuss the October 15th event and Rodriguez’s future plans. Also in attendance will be El Paso’s Jennifer Han, Joel Garcia, Carlos Villa, Oscar Valenzuela and Joe Sullivan.
Fight card updates:
Albuquerque’s Raymond “Hollywood” Montes (4-2, 3 Kos) will be taking on longtime border veteran Evaristo Primero (14-14-1, 7 KOs) in the co-main event.
Albuquerque’s David Castillo (2-3), on a two-bout losing streak and a DQ loss for excessive fouling, is up against Jo Jo Galarza (2-1, 1 KO) in a four-rounder. Galarza will be coming off a five-year layoff.
UPDATE: El Paso debuter Eric Reza will get his long-awaited debut against former UFC fighter Darrill Schoonover.
