Professional boxing will stage a return to Western New Mexico when, on July 10, the School of Hard Knocks will put on their first pro show in Hobbs, N.M. The card features amateur standout Edgar Zubia, who will make his pro debut. Hobbs heavyweight Luis Mora will also go pro. The card will feature fighters from Roswell, Los Lunas, Albuquerque, El Paso, Lubbock, Abilene and Snyder, Texas and will also include ten amateur bouts, pitting New Mexico boxers against West Texans.

This show is but the first of many, says promoter Isidro Castillo. A tentative date of Aug. 21 has already been named for a card in Clovis. Stay tuned!
