Calleros show announced
Last night at the Hyatt Regency downtown promoter Fernando Calleros announced his December 19th “Winter Boxing Show” to the public. Calleros promised a different kind of event. The location for the show will be announced at a later press conference, but Calleros said it will not be at a casino. The venue will allow 18 and under in order to draw a larger crowd and break from the typical boxing event . The show will include two co-main events. Headlining the first co-main event will be Oregonian Molly “Fearless” McDonnell (10-2, 5 KO’s) taking on Arkansas’ Kita “Ready Made” Watkins (6-7, 1 KO) for the WIBF and GBU Jr Welterweight titles. In the other co-main event Albuquerque’s Tonia Cravens (2-5, 1 KO) will be making her return to boxing after a 4-year layoff against an opponent TBA. Also on the show will be a slew of local talent including: “Hurricane” Hector Munoz (18-4-1, 11 KO’s), former amateur and rising pro Jennifer Han (1-1-1), Charles “The Beast” Alderete (1-0, 1 KO), Alan Sanchez (2-1, 1 KO) and making his pro debut will be Jose Luis “Guero” Sanchez, all against opponents TBA.
