From Thursday night at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Tulsa, Okla.: Albuquerque’s Rozanne Garvin (0-1-1) and Brittany Harvison (0-1) fought a four-round draw. Garvin came out firing in round one, almost knocking Harvison down about three different times in the round. Harvison’s face showed plenty of damage as she went back to her corner.

Round two saw Rozanne not firing as much, as she was conserving energy. Much to her inexperience, she also didn’t realize that Harvison was ready to be  stopped.

In the third, Garvison came out strong again, but when she had Harvison hurt, she didn’t follow up, once again allowing Harvison to survive. When the bell rang to end the round, Harvison went to Garvin’s corner to tell Rozanne congratulations, but her corner came and took her back to her corner, convincing her to continue.

In the fourth, it was more punishment for Harvison, though she did survive the round and ended up getting a draw. When the scores were announced a draw, many were booing.

When asked for a rematch, promoter  Tony Holden’’s man in charge Bobby Dobbs, ironically said,” “Yes we want this fight again, but not in New Mexico-they cheat on scoring down there .”
