Hogue, Correa, Crespin, Martinez win!
Three New Mexicans are coming home from the weekend’s USA Boxing’s Regionals last weekend in Pueblo, Colo. Albuquerque PAL’s Jazzma Hogue, at 119 lbs., defeated his Colorado opponent in the second round on Friday to advance to championships, then won over Arizona to win the championship. At 165 lbs., Jesus Correa, also of Albuquerque PAL, defeated an Arizona opponent for the championship. In the female division, Amanda Crespin, of Crespin’s Boxing, and Rita Martinez, of Las Cruces’ Omega Fight Team, won their championships, as well. Winners advance to Nationals on June 7-14, this year in Denver.
