Holly Holm has sent a message via Facebook to her fans and the public:
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for your support. I have had nothing but love and kindness form everyone. I do want you to know I am fine, I just had a bad day at the office. I am heartbroken, but I am healthy! I have learned more from this fight than any other fight in my entire career. I am going to take what I have learned and use it to become a better fighter. Even t…hough I have had this loss, I feel I have had a very blessed career and I refuse to let this get me down. Anne Sophie Mathis was one of the toughest opponents, if not THE toughest opponent I have ever faced. I congratulate her on her victory and I look forward to the opportunity to meet with her again.
On another note…. I am looking forward to spending this holiday season with my family and friends. I love this time of year! I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a special coming year. May we all cherish our family and friends and all of our blessings and let us not take any of that for granted. I love you and may God bless you all.
