“Hollywood” says he’s “awake” now
“I didn’t go to sleep after that last fight,” says Raymond “Hollywood” Montes (1-1, 1 KO), most likely New Mexico’s most colorful fighter, talking about his his one-round KO loss to Shawn Nichol last March. “Actually, I woke up, having learned my lesson.” On Nov. 5, in Garden City, Kansas, Montes will get back on the horse, against an opponent to-be-announced. Originally, Montes was rematched with Randy “Savage” Arrellin, whom he’d KO’d in his pro debut, but Arrellin, on a two-bout win streak since the loss, has pulled out of the fight.
