‘Latin Heat’ or ‘Li’l Man?’

In last week’s NewMexicoBoxing poll, 62% of our readers pick Gonzales to win – 50% by kayo and 12% by decision. Mirabal followers are fewer, with 37% of our readership (27% by decision, 10% by kayo) picking him to win. Here’s what the fighters had to say about their showdown tomorrow night at Isleta:
Mirabal: “It’s just voting-it doesn’t bother me. I’m pretty confident about tomorrow night. I’m here to take chances, but I know what to do with him.”
Gonzales: “I was surprised at first, with the online poll. When I looked last, 56% thought I’d win by knockout-and that’s what I think it’s going to be. I know he has heart, but I’m more confident for this bout than I’ve been in any of my past fights.”
