Locals land on Kansas card Nov. 6
Several New Mexicans have landed on the Nov. 6 fight card in Garden City, Kansas, promoted by Robert Gonzales with Albuquerque’s Robert Padilla as matchmaker. In the main event, lightweight Brandon Rios (21-0-1, 15 KOs) will go ten rounds, opponent TBA. El Paso’s Bernardo Guereca (15-8-1, 3 KOs), fighting out of Albuquerque now, will fight the co-main at welter, opponent also TBA. In a special four-round bantam bout, Raymond “Hollywood” Montes (1-1, 1 KO) will rematch Randy “Savage” Arrellin (2-1, 1 KO). Other fights on the lineup: debuting lightweights Herbert Acevedo and Jose Rodriguez will go four; At 140, jr. middle debuters Chris Russell and Leonard Leal will go four; At welter, Arkansas’ Tim Reynolds (0-2) will fight debuter Joel Vasquez; In a female welter bout, Victoria Cisneros (3-7-2) will take on 0-4 Nibita McCargo; and at lightweight, female debuters Leticia Guerrero and O’Shea Jackson will go at it.
