Undefeated Archie Ray Marquez has been elevated to No. 13 at jr. lightweight in the WBA’s latest world rankings. Marquez returns to action Feb. 4 at the Chumash Casino in California.

The February Zeferino card in El Paso at the Don Haskins Center has been moved to Feb. 11 to avoid staging a show the same night as an amateur event. The card stages the return of David Rodriguez (33-0, 31 KOs) to El Paso. Rodriguez takes on Ty Cobb (11-2, 8 Kos). Jr. middleweight Juan Astorga (14-5-1, 9 KOs) takes on TBA in the co-main, for a minor belt. The undercard: welterweight Marvin Cordova (21-2-1, 11 Kos) takes on Bernardo Guereca (15-10-1, 3 KOs) in a sixer; lightweight Jennifer Han (1-1-1) fights Geni Taylor (2-1, 1 KO) in a four-rounder; Socorro jr. welter David Castillo (2-1) fights debuter Carlos Avila in a four-rounder; El Paso jr. welter Oscar Valenzuela (2-0, 1 KO) vs. Joaquin Abila (0-1), four rounds; and heavyweight Joe Sullivan (3-4, 3 KOs) fights Eric McElroy (0-1) in the opener.

Albuquerque’s Manny Otero (2-1, 1 KO) will take on Henry Namauu (8-3, 5 Kos) Jan. 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Namauu is on a five-bout win streak.
