Mirabal, Calleros team up
Promoters Richard Mirabal and Fernando Calleros have teamed up to form a new promotion company that will feature hybrid cards of boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai. The new company, Team Mirabal Promotions, will promote their first show on July 11 at UNM’s Johnson Gym. The card, billed as “Battle of the Bad I,” will primarily focus on pro female Muay Thai fighters, but will also headline one boxing fight with Vincent “Li’l Man” Mirabal (3-0). The second show will return to mainly boxing in October at Sky City Casino. In addition to Mirabal, Jessica “Diamond” Sanchez (0-0-1) will fight her second boxing bout. Fernando Calleros will also be on the show, doubling as co-promoter and fighter. Look for more details as the shows are developed.
