What fights do you want to see happen in '01?
Payne vs Brady - I hope this fight will settle the talk from the Brady people who email us saying Brady will kill Payne, or that Valdez would KO Payne. They shoudl tell Payne he wants to fight or have the promoter & managers set it up. What are they waiting for? Let's see the winner go on to bigger & better things.
What does NM Boxing need?
Better fights. Lenny Fresquez has the right idea, just the wrong concept. He helps New Mexico fighters get started but are they really "rising stars?" Also needs more competition - let's lose the Mexican Meat Wagon. Let the best local fighters fight each other; what's the worst that can happen? One wins, one loses . . . both move on. Every local promoter needs to check out a fight card in Juarez, Mexico.
