WE FIGHT FOR THE CURE BOXING EVENT
Boxing in the Bosque: We Fight for the Cure will be New Mexico’s First All Female Professional Boxing Event; and will feature the return of New York’s Melissa Hernandez against Canada’s Lindsay Garbatt for the Vacant Global Boxing Union (GBU) World Title, as well as the prestigious Women’s Boxing Archive Network Title (WBAN). Also featured on the card will be the absolute last fight of female boxing legend and former Playboy cover girl, Mia St. John. The card will also host to New Mexico’s former World Champion Monica Lovato of Espanola, as well as the professional debuts of Brenda Gonzales of Moriarty, and Natalie Roy of Santa Fe, though not against each other. During the event Komen of Central New Mexico will have an information booth, and there will be items available in a silent auction/raffle with 100% of those proceeds going directly to Komen. Any individuals or companies wishing to donate to the auction may do so by emailing us at info@ggboxing.com or via phone at 505-750-8326.
Golden Girl Promotions is honored to have the support of both Santa Ana Star Casino as well as the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation of Central New Mexico. This all female professional boxing event in support of Komen for the Cure has been a dream of mine since I first had the itch to return to boxing as a promoter. If the wonderful people and staff at the Santa Ana Star Casino didn’t offer the support or share the same dream as I, the October 16th event would not have been possible. So I am deeply moved by their enthusiasm and support of breast cancer awareness, Komen for the Cure, and Golden Girl Promotions.
Tickets are still available for the October 16th boxing event and can be purchased at the
anta Ana Star Casino Star Rewards box office or online at www.startickets.com. Prices for tickets start off at $15 and continue at $20, $40, $50, and ringside at $75.
Thank you for your support of breast cancer awareness, female and New Mexico boxing, and Golden Girl Promotions.
Sincerely,
Stephanie “Golden Girl” Jaramillo
