Reminder: Boxing/rodeo show Aug. 21
Team Mirabal and the Rio Bravo Club will be throwing “Battle of the Rising Stars”, a USA Boxing and Youth Rodeo card, on Saturday, Aug. 21, in Chama, New Mexico. Boxing will take place at the Chama Recreation Center, 302 Pine Ave.; Rodeo will be held at the Chama Rodeo Arena. Rodeo starts at 11 a.m.; first bell for boxing, 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 general, with children 10 and under, getting in free (plus coaches, participating boxers get into the rodeo free). Rodeo is $2 admission.
Weigh-ins on Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.; physicals are at 3 p.m., at the Chama Community Center, 302 Pine Ave. in Chama. The host motel is the Branding Iron Motel 575-756-2162 (79.99+tax).
