Tonight at UNM’s Johnson Gym there were six all action bouts as part of United MMA Bash. In the main event, with shouts of “UFC, UFC!” from the crowd, Rafael “Barata” De Freitas (5-0) won by tap out with a guillotine at 2:12 of the second round against fellow Albuquerquean Eric Buck (8-7-2) in the flyweight clash. In a bantamweight bout, Joby Sanchez (2-1) avenged his only loss with a rear-naked choke tap out win against Ronnie White (3-3). In the only female bout of the evening Nohime Dennison (1-1) won by unanimous decision after three rounds against debuter Lynae Lovato (0-1) in a fly weight bout. The Cody East fight was cancelled. Amateur results:
Rio Rancho’s Javier Palacios won by guillotine tap out against Albuquerque’s Sammy Silva at lightweight. Showing great skills was Albuquerque’s Andrew Tenneson who took a tap out win by ankle lock against Grants, NM fighter Ben Mitchell in the first round of their lightweight bout. In the curtain raiser, Las Cruces’ Juan Torres won by guillotine tap out in the third round of his middleweight bout against Albuquerque’s Richard Bicenti.
