Undercard results at Isleta
From the Isleta Casino & Resort in Albuquerque:
In a four-round jr. lightweight bout, Albuquerque’s Randy “Savage” Arrellin (3-2, 1 KO) lived up to his nickname by destroying Salvador Zamora (4-2, 2 KOs) in round four by body shots. The end came at 1:13.
In a four-round welter bout, Josh “Pittbull” Torres (4-1, 2 KOs) scored a second round TKO over David Castillo (1-1). Castillo was forced to quit in round two due to a broken left hand.
Sammy Piar (1-1, 1 KO) had to settle for a draw with Edwin Rosado (1-6), of Worcester, Mass. Piar went down in round two but was able to avoid a loss with scores of 37-38, 39-37 and 38-38.
In the opening bout of the evening, Albuquerque heavyweight Fernando Reyes (1-1) won his return bout over Eric Ballejos (0-1) by decision. Reyes lost a point in round three for losing his mouthpiece, but dropped Ballejos in round two. Scores were 38-37 twice and 38-36, all for Reyes.
