Rodriguez ready for return

There was a heavier than expected turnout, Friday at El Paso’s Backstreet Gym, for El Paso’s David Rodriguez when an estimated 250 to 300 “Nino” fans that showed with the media to see El Paso’s next heavyweight champion. The big, undefeated El Paso heavyweight is now less than two weeks from his return to the ring and his return to El Paso. The thunder-handed puncher is 33-0 with 31 knockouts. He will take on Ty Cobb, 12-2 (8 KOs) in a heavyweight slugfest Feb. 11 in the Don Haskins Center . . . Continued
