Rosales updates
Results of Southwest Kickboxing Association (SWKA) title fights held Saturday, July 17th: Justin Morgan from Tucson, Arizona, defeated Jon Sparks from Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the 155 lbs division kickboxing title. Shawn Henson from Los Lunas, New Mexico, defeated Chad Padilla from Albuquerque in the Muay Thai 140 lbs division. And, in the SWKA Muay Thai main event, David “Spider Monkey” Mejias from Tucson, Arizona defeated Gustavo Hernandez from El Paso, Texas. All other 19 bouts were high-action.
Several Rosales fighters are going to the IKF World Classic in Orlando Florida on July 23-25, to fight for a tile in either kickboxing or Muay Thai. They are: women’s division, atomweight, Brandi “The Baby Doll” Montoya, who is ranked No. 4; welterweight 150 lbs., Samanthe Bench, who is ranked No. 4; bantamweight, Falon Ring, who is ranked No. 2; featherweight, Eric “Buddy Holly” Henson, who is ranked No. 2; lightweight, Shaun “The Warrior” Henson, ranked No. 2; Men’s division, light middleweight, Nelson Bench, who is ranked No. 4; middleweight, Damien Rippee, who is ranked No 3; and, at heavyweight, Tommy Ruane, who is ranked No. 2.
