Villasenor, Camozzi draw at SharkFights

Tonight at the Santa Ana Star Center in the Shark Fights main event Chris “Kamikazee” Camozzi (14-4-1) and Joey “Smokin Joe” Villasenor (27-8-1) fought to a draw with scores of 29-28, 29-28 and 29-29 in a middleweight battle. In the co-main at middleweight, Dave Branch (9-2) took a win by referee stoppage at 3:19 of the third round against Jeremy “BAMF” May (9-8). In a bantamweight battle Fredrico “Kiko” Lopez (5-3) won by unanimous decision against Bobby “Digital” Huron with scores of 30-27 times three. At middleweight, Artenas Young (5-2) took care of Kyle Bracey (8-2) at 4:04 of the first round by way of referee stoppage after a slow start to the fight. Frank Gomez (10-3) won by rear naked choke hold at 3:19 of the first round against Timothy “The Terminator” Snyder (12-8-1) in featherweight contest. Lionel “The Train” Lanham (3-0) won by referee stoppage after landing a straight right and following it up with a knee strike to the head of Eric “Bad Intentions” McElroy (3-7) at 0:14 seconds of the first round in their light heavyweight contest.
Amateur Results:
Russell Wilson (6-1) won a tough split decision win against Robbie Gutierrez (8-3-1-1) with scores of 29-28, 28-29, 29-28. Fredrico Crosby (4-1) won by strikes at 1:11 seconds of the first round against Kasey “Cornbread” Yates (2-2). Adam Gonzales won by tap out after locking in a north/south choke against Zac “The Hitman” Hynes at 2:38 of the second round. Edgar “The Disciple” Lopez (2-0) won by strikes at 2:22 of round one against Derek “Raged” Perez (1-1). Randy Ray Sanchez (2-2) took a split decision win with scores of 29-28, 30-27 30-27 against Armando Mendiblez (0-2).
