El Paso powerhouse Abie Han (3-0, 3 KOs) will most likely be fighting next in California. It’s not official yet, but Han will be taking on undefeated Ibahiem King (6-0, 2 KOs), of West Palm Beach, Fla., at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in San Diego, Calif., May 21.

Congrats to official/trainer Professor Tony Rosales. Tony has been promoted to the rank of Sigung (7th degree black belt) to Professor (8th degree black belt)  in the art of Kajukenbo by Grandmaster Veon McCarrell.

National Golden Gloves update: Both Fidel Maldonado and Jesus Correa, both of Albuquerque, are on deck to fight today.

The return of Joseph Brady has been delayed. His four-round return bout against John Anthony Gallegos has been nixed from the May 16 card. No fault of Brady, who’s been training consistently for the first time in years, the fight was scratched because Gallegos has not been able to commit to the fight.
